Cedar Creek’s Clover Kicker

I flew back into Dallas this Wednesday after being away for about a month. Dropped off my luggage in the bedroom, grabbed my growler from on top of the fridge, hopped in the car with my dog and headed to Lakewood Growler.

Now usually when I go to a filling station, I’ll have a flight of the new beers on the list I haven’t tried yet. On this occasion, however, I had just come back in from New York City and was in serious need to sit out in the backyard in the sun, barefoot and enjoy a cold beer. I had a few tastes of the beers I had yet to try and decided on the Clover Kicker Saison by Cedar Creek Brewery.

I have to be honest, this is not my favorite from Cedar Creek. It may be my dog Jake’s fault. I had it resting on the front seat on the way home and he knocked it off and caused it to foam pretty hard. So it may have been flatter than it was supposed to be.  I have also never been a huge fan of Belgian farmhouse styles, so I should have known better.  I should have gone with Cedar Creek’s Gone-A-Rye, which I love.
